Jason Baker

Jason Baker is the Director of National Security Policy at Encode, where he leads the organization’s executive-branch engagement on catastrophic risks from advanced AI. He spent 20 years in the Air Force, where he flew combat missions, worked on the threats and opportunities of emerging military technology, and ran counter-WMD wargames, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. Jason holds a bachelor’s in political science from the University of Illinois and a master’s in national security and foreign policy from American University.
